A quaint little place on the eastern border of Amilace, Brookwell is a thriving trade town, with many craftsmen and shops. It is very old and the buildings have a rickety charm to them. Every wooden beam is warped and every shingle is chipped. There are many little gardens dotted around the town, hidden between buildings and out in the open. The town gets its name from the large well in the town square, that is connected to an underground spring that is fed by the nearby brook where the townspeople catch fish.

The swamp separates Brookwell from the Illio Banaster border. It is a place of mystery and many frightening tales are told by the Brookwell townsfolk about it. Many people have died within, either having drowned in it's bogs, or from an unlucky encounter with one of the denizens of the dark place. Redmoss swamp gets its name from the blood moss that grows there, always found in places where blood has been spilled.
